SHIPPING INFORMATION:
~Our Veterans shipping partners welcome everyone’s excess Halloween Candy!
~It is appreciated if you can ship as soon as possible. To include in the holiday boxes to the troops, please ship by November 15th, however Candy is accepted all year round.
~If you want confirmation of delivery of your shipment prior to receipt of your acknowledgment letter, please use the tracking system provided by your shipper.
~Contact Troopathon any time with questions. Candy should be left in original wrapping, their volunteers will weigh and sort the candy. All you need to do is ship it to them. Please include Messages to the troops from the kids! They will put them into the boxes.
~They also accept and like dental products – toothpaste, toothbrushes & floss
~Be sure to include your business name and address so they can thank you for the donation!
~Feel free to use any size cartons–whatever you have on hand or can easily find. The ideal size is:
24″ x 24″ x 20″ or smaller. The Uhaul Medium or Large boxes work great. You can line the box with a black trash bag to keep the candy away from moisture.
~You can check the websites of the various shippers (UPS, USPS, Fed-Ex, DHL) and get their respective prices based on weight and size of package. Some of these outlets are allowed to offer discounts, as they are owned as franchises. Certainly worth asking!
~You might also check with local moving or freight companies–they might be willing to add your donation to their load for very little money (or for free) if they are heading this way anyway!
~Local businesses and/or civic or veterans organizations might be willing to sponsor the shipping expenses. ~?You can reach out to clubs in your area – kiwanas, rotary, lions, American Legion, VFW, Masons, etc. Most of them would love to help if they can.
(Thank you for understanding that our veterans shipping partners cannot pay for the shipping donations, as they need every penny of their funds to pay the shipping on the care packages to the troops). Shipping Addresses are below:
